Fed up foreigners
A man dressed up as the NOVA English School mascot beats a Nova employee to the ground to demonstrate unfair treatment of its workers during a foreign workers demonstration in central Tokyo yesterday. Foreign workers, particularly those working for large English schools are only given short term contracts, with many subsequently being fired at the end of their contracts across Japan. Companies are not obliged to hand out health insurance to their workers on short term contracts, and can hire part-time workers instead.
