Pressed for Profits
Two wine makers from Sainte-Cecile-Les-Vignes carry a fake coffin reading ''Here lies the last wine maker'' in Avignon, southern France on Wednesday. Nearly 5,000 wine makers took to the street in Avignon as part of a nationwide protest to press the government to help an industry they contend is being pinched hard by overproduction, shrinking exports and changing drinking habits.
