Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo expressed confidence that the country's economy would bounce back from a slump despite a looming fiscal crisis, citing that businessmen, politicians and ordinary citizens have pledged to donate various amounts to a so-called ``Freedom Fund'' aimed at helping plug a ballooning budget deficit.
