A daikon in the sun

A farmer hangs white radishes, or daikon, on bamboo frames in Tano, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan on Dec. 15. The radishes are dried in the sun for a week to 10 days before being shipped to markets throughout Asia.Dec 26, 2003
