US technology CEOs opine that economy has reached bottom

NY TIMES NEWS SERVICE , SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA

One executive who refused to accept that the business climate was weak and going to stay that way was the chief executive of Handspring, Donna Dubinsky.

She made 1999-style projections despite the fact that her company's is still unprofitable. "I just couldn't be more bullish on the future," Dubinsky said. "It's just filled with opportunities."

One investor remarked to a colleague, "I wish I could go back to the future, too."
