A photo released by the Australian Antarctic Division on Thursday shows a rescue worker, left, directing passengers who spent Christmas and New Year trapped on the icebound Russian research vessel Akademik Shokalskiy in Antarctica after they disembarked from a rescue helicopter from the Chinese ship Xue Long, right, after they were airlifted from the ice in a dramatic rescue mission.
