An Emirati man holds his falcon in the Liwa desert, 220km west of Abu Dhabi, on the sidelines of the Mazayin Dhafra Camel Festival yesterday. The festival, which attracts participants from around the Gulf region, includes a camel beauty contest, a display of United Arab Emirates handicrafts and other activities aimed at promoting the emirates’ folklore.Dec 24, 2012
