FIRST RUN

A bull tries to get his footing after falling on the corner leading into Calle Estafeta in the 900m course through the old city streets of Pamplona in the first bull run of the Fiesta de San Fermin yesterday morning. Runners, behind, are close to other bulls coming around the corner. Each morning during the week-long fiesta, thousands of runners test their bravery and skills to get close to the six bulls which will later be killed in an afternoon bullfight. No one was seriously injured in the first run.Jul 08, 2007
