Amphibian rescue
A small boy watches as volunteers pour common toads from a bucket during an operation to rescue frogs from being run over by vehicles on a road near Sikonda, some 225km south of Budapest, Hungary, on Saturday. Voluntary and professional environmentalists have saved the lives of toads and Agile frogs by taking them off roads. At this time of the year female frogs carrying their males on their backs wander across roads to riverbanks to mate.
