In the pink
African penguins, marked with pink dye after going through rehabilitation, make their way to the Indian ocean after being released back into the wild on Dire Island, 200km from Cape Town, South Africa, on Tuesday. More than 800 African penguins were rescued and brought to the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds due to their parents going into early malting, which means they have no waterproofing and thus cannot fish to feed their young.
