Dunking the elephant god
Indian devotees throng a major road as a huge idol of the elephant-headed Hindu God Lord Ganesha is paraded through the streets of Mumbai yesterday at the end of the 10-day long Ganesha Festival. Indians mark the end of the religious festival, which is hugely popular in Mumbai and southern India, by dunking colorful idols of Ganesha into the sea and rivers.
