    Prodigal brother
Former Japanese imperial army soldier Ishinosuke Uwano, foreground, hugs his younger brother Ushitaro Sadake, 81, as they reunite for the first time in 63 years at Iwate prefectural office in Morioka, Japan, yesterday. Uwano, 83, who has lived in the Ukraine since the mid-1960s, had not been in contact with his family since he went off to fight in World War II and was officially registered as dead by the Japanese government in 2000. He arrived in Japan on Wednesday for a 10-day visit, accompanied by one of his sons by his Ukrainian wife.
