A woman of Cambodia's Tumpuon ethnic minority, clears her field near the village of Barghok, Ratanakiri Province, 325km northeast of Phnom Penh, on Wednesday. While doctors tried to determine whether a mysterious disease killing residents of two hill-tribe villages in remote northeastern Cambodia was severe acute respiratory syndrome, villagers were driving it away with effigies and animist ceremonies.
