New Yorkers fume in commuter limbo

SLOW TRAFFIC:New York City commuters were forced to wait for hours for buses and taxis, but officials said partial subway service was to resume yesterday

Another commuter, Jorge Valdiriz, 31, a musician and teacher carrying a guitar and backpack, was also moving from borough to borough. He was headed to a studio in Brooklyn to record with his band, though he was not sure how he would get there.

“No subway makes a big difference,” he said. “The things we do for music.”
