Indian islands disappear as sea levels rise

GLOBAL WARMING Two islands in India's Sunderbans have gone under water, leaving more than 10,000 homeless, with a dozen more islands under threat of submersion

Climatologists so far agree that sea levels will increase by 9cm to 88cm over 1990 levels by the end of the century.

But Rahmstorf suggests that the range could be much higher -- 50cm to 140cm.
