Legal system: Clerk in trouble over clubbing

STAFF WRITER, WITH AGENCIES

The Taiwan High Court's Kaohsiung Branch yesterday denied that one of its law clerks, Lin Yung-fu (林永富), entered a dance club without paying the entrance fee. The Champaign Dance Club of Kaohsiung filed a complaint with the court on Tuesday, accusing Lin of entering the club at midnight Sunday and refusing to pay the NT$200 fee. The club owner reportedly decided to complain to the court after realizing that Lin was a law clerk. The club provided the court with a videotape from its close-circuit security system to back up the complaint.
