The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) will begin discussions with an alliance of three companies on the signing of an agreement for the construction of a Taipei Harbor warehousing center. If everything goes smoothly, the agreement could be signed by the end of this year, marking the first harbor project built and operated by the private sector and then transferred to the government. The MOTC invited bidding for construction and operation of the Taipei Harbor warehousing center in late May this year, with the alliance of Evergreen Marine Corp, Yangming Marine Transport Corp and Wan Hai Lines Ltd being the only applicants.
