The Ministry of Education yesterday approved the establishment of an inter-university system linking four national universities. A ministry official said the academic programs jointly submitted by National Chiao Tung University, National Tsinghua University, National Yang Ming University and National Central University in Taoyuan would be integrated in March. The four universities are all located in northern Taiwan. While submitting the proposal in mid-March, National Chiao Tung University President Chang Chun-yen (張俊彥) said that the four universities will cooperate in organizing a research team, share their resources, exchange teaching personnel and explore innovative programs.
