The New Party has nominated seven candidates for the year-end elections of city councilors in Taipei and Kaohsiung, Yuk Mu-ming (郁慕明), chairman of the party, said yesterday. Yuk said that his party will stay in the "pan-blue" camp with the opposition KMT and the PFP, and that his party will support Taipei Mayor Ma Ying-jeou of the KMT for his re-election. Yuk expressed the hope that the KMT and PFP will step up their cooperation in order to win the elections of mayors and city councilors of Taipei and Kaohsiung on Dec. 7. The New Party's candidates for the elections of Taipei city councilors are Pan Huai-chung (潘懷宗), Chang Chung-tian (常中天), Fei Hung-tai (費鴻泰), Yu Hung-chen (游鴻程), Hou Kuan-chiung (侯冠群) and Li Ching-yuan (李慶元). Its candidate for the election to Kaohsiung City Council is Li Ying-sheng (李瀛生).
