The membership of a pro-Taiwan US congressional group has increased rapidly over the past few months, Deputy Representative to the US Tsai Ming-hsian (蔡明憲) said on Friday. Addressing a dinner party marking the 21st anniversary of a Taiwanese chamber of commerce in California, Tsai said the number of members of the Taiwan Caucus has increased from 85 to 115. The rapid increase in the Taiwan Caucus roster could help facilitate interchanges between the legislative branches of the two countries and interaction in other fields, Tsai said. The Taiwan Caucus was formed by 85 members of the House of Representatives and the Senate on April 9 this year.
