Post-colonialism expert visits

An authority on post-colonialism theory, Homi Bhabha, arrived in Taiwan yesterday for a 10-day academic trip. At the invitation of the National Science Council, the Indian-born Harvard University professor is scheduled to give three lectures at Academia Sinica, attend seminars and talk with local scholars, an NSC official said. Bhabha will also meet with 120 graduate students at a literature camp in Hsinchu. Bhabha is professor of English and American Literature at Harvard University and visiting professor in the humanities at the University College, London.
