An 11-member mission of Chinese journalists left Taiwan for Hong Kong yesterday after winding up a 10-day visit. The delegation, the highest level of its kind to visit Taiwan in recent years, included Li Weiyi (李維一), spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office under Beijing's State Council. Li, who has visited Taiwan a number of times, said that when he can visit Taiwan again will depend on future exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. Another member, Li An, director of the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Office of All-China Journalists' Association, said that the visit to Taiwan was a fruitful one and that he is looking forward to visiting Taiwan again. During their stay in Taiwan, the delegation called on news media and toured the National Palace Museum, Kenting National Park and Penghu.
