Grenada's Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Culture, Social Security and Gender and Family Affairs Brenda Hood arrived in Taipei yesterday for a five-day visit. She will tour various cultural and economic establishments. The Grenadian minister is scheduled to depart May 3. Hood is on a trip to promote tourism in her Caribbean island nation and exchange experiences for developing tourist resources with Taiwanese officials. Grenada established diplomatic ties with Taiwan in 1989 and the two signed an agricultural cooperation agreement in 1991. Based on the agreement, Taiwan has set up a permanent agricultural mission in Grenada.
