Pro-independence activitists yesterday announced that they will march in Taipei on May 11, to promote "Taiwan" as the name for the nation, and the TSU has agreed to take part in the parade. Leaders of the "Rectifying the Name of Taiwan" (台灣正名), a pro-independence group, yesterday paid a visit to TSU Chairman Huang Chu-wen (黃主文), in a bid to gain the TSU's participation in the planned march. During the meeting, Wu Shuh-min (吳樹民) and Ng Chiautong (黃昭堂), organizers of the march, called on the government to make policy to enforce Taiwan's national identity. Wu and Ng said that people who live in Taiwan should regard themselves as Taiwanese and Taiwan as the sole motherland. In addition, any social group, company and state-owned businesses registered in Taiwan should not be name as "China" something.
