NT dollar up slightly

The New Taiwan dollar rose against its US counterpart yesterday at the Taipei foreign exchange market, increasing by NT$0.027 to close at NT$34.565. The turnover totalled US$747 million, compared with Friday's US$1.29 billion.
The local currency opened at NT$34.551 against the greenback, and was traded between NT$34.500 and NT$34.570 throughout the session.
