According to estimates by finance-ministry officials, about NT$500 million to NT$600 million can be raised from the set rate, which should be enough to pay for most of expenses required by the new agency. Originally the rate was set at between 0.03 percent to 0.1 percent and was lowered following suggestions from DPP legislators.
