The Cabinet-level Council of Agriculture announced yesterday that over 200 additional types of agricultural investment in China will no longer need to be approved on a case-by-case basis.
Under previous guidelines set by the council, only 223 types of agricultural investment in China were given the automatic green light by the government.
The council noted that most of the newly approved types of investment are processed product-related or fishing-related because its recent evaluations determined that the impact of approving such kinds of agricultural investment will be minimal on Taiwan's own agricultural sector.
