Tuntex, Hualon struggle amid textile slump

Loans under the finance ministry relief program are accounted as "under surveillance" by the central bank.

Hualon reported a loss of NT$4 billion last year, compared with NT$231 million in 1999. The company said it lost NT$599 million in the first three months of 2001.
