Inspired by Australia’s “Best Job in the World” contests, a Taiwanese travel company is holding a competition that will offer the winner a free, first-class trip around the world.

HHTravel, a subsidiary of online travel service provider ezTravel, is organizing its fifth 45-day trip around the world, scheduled to start on Feb. 14 next year, ezTravel founder Jack You said.

The trip costs NT$3.45 million (US$115,500) per person and is limited to 10 people, he said.

The company is looking for an “assistant leader” for the group, he said.

“Anyone has a chance to be the lucky one who gets to experience the deluxe trip of their dreams,” You said.

Candidates must love travel, have a high sense of responsibility, be enthusiastic, meticulous and able to handle pressure. They must also have a high EQ (emotional quotient), good physical strength, foreign language ability and photography skills, the company said.

You said 10 finalists will be picked on July 9 and the winner will be announced later.

Details about the contest are posted on the firm’s Web site.

Tour highlights include a cruise to Antartica and glacier climb; a trip to Machu Picchu, Peru; fishing for piranhas in the Amazon River; and seeing the Northern Lights.
