The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislative caucus yesterday made public its four nominees to the review panel that will screen the National Communications Commission (NCC) members.

They are Lu Shih-hsiang (盧世祥), founder of the Foundation for the Advancement of Media Excellence; Wu Ching-hsiung (吳靜雄), chairman of the Aviation Safety Council under the Executive Yuan; Chang Chin-fu (張進福), president of National Chi Nan University; and Feng Chien-san (馮建三), director of the Department of Journalism at National Chengchi University.

The Taiwan Solidarity Union (TSU) yesterday also nominated Chen Yi-shen (陳儀深) to represent the party on the panel. Chen is an associate research fellow at the Academia Sinica's Institute of Modern History.

The Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) on Sunday nominated four people to the review panel, and the People First Party announced its two picks.

Under the Organic Law of the National Communications Commission (國家通訊傳播委員會組織法), the 11-member review committee will select 13 NCC members from a pool of 18 candidates.
