Photos of the estuary of Taitung’s Taimali Creek taken before, left, and after Typhoon Morakot hit Taiwan show the extent of damage caused by the storm. The photos were released by the Center for Space and Remote Sensing Research at Taoyuan’s National Central University yesterday. The image was captured by the nation’s Formosat-2 satellite.Aug 14, 2009
