Up, up and away
An osprey struggles to free itself from an abandoned fishing net in the Guangsing water catchment area in Sindian, Taipei County, last month. The pictures were taken by environmental photographer Tu Hsiu-liang, who first thought the bird had caught a fish too big for it to fly off with. When it became evident that the bird could not escape, Tu entered the water and helped free the bird.
