Now everyone wants to be `taike'
Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) legislators and officials -- including party spokeswoman Cheng Li-wen, center front, and Central Standing Committee Member Lien Sheng-wen, center back -- yesterday establish a ``Taike'' campaign group for the upcoming elections, vowing to turn the negative term referring to uncouth, low-class Taiwanese into a positive one.
