Jiang says public workers in Penghu to get more money

Teachers and public servants working in Penghu County will be getting more in their extra monthly payments, effective next month, Premier Jiang Yi-huah (江宜樺) said yesterday.

The increase will range from NT$1,200 to NT$4,120.

Jiang made the announcement during his inspection of the county, accompanied by Penghu County Commissioner Wang Chien-fa (王乾發).

According to the government, the 3,500 public sector employees in Penghu currently receive extra monthly payments of NT$4,640, NT$5,670, NT$7,730 or NT$9,790, depending on where they live.

Teachers and public servants in Penghu have long been asking to receive the same monthly extra payments as government employees in Kinmen and Matsu.
