Lee, chair of this year’s Golden Horse jury, will present the award jointly with director Hou Hsiao-hsien, who is chairman of the Golden Horse Film Festival Executive Committee.

The nominees for this year’s best feature film award are The Grandmaster (一代宗師), a martial arts flick by Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai (王家衛); Ilo Ilo, a family movie by Singaporean director Anthony Chen; A Touch of Sin (天注定), a crime drama by Chinese director Jia Zhangke (賈樟柯); Stray Dogs (郊遊) by Taiwanese director Tsai Ming-liang (蔡明亮) and Drug War (毒戰), a police thriller by Hong Kong director Johnnie To (杜琪峰).

Meanwhile, Zhang Ziyi (章子怡) of China, Hong Kong’s Cherry Ngan (顏卓靈) and Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文), and Taiwan’s Kwai Lun-mei (桂綸鎂) and Shu Qi (舒淇) will vie for the best actress award.

Golden Horse ambassador, Hong Kong actress Maggie Cheung (張曼玉) will hand out the award alongside Hong Kong actor-singer Andy Lau (劉德華), a two-time Golden Horse best actor winner.

Cheung won the Golden Horse best actress award in 1989, 1991, 1997 and 2000, and holds the record for the most number of wins in a lead acting category.
