A tour guide who organized an orgy involving 18 men and a teenage girl aboard a train in February last year was on Thursday sentenced by the New Taipei City District Court to six months in prison.
Tsai Yu-lin (蔡育林), 39, posted an online advertisement inviting people to take part in the sex party modeled on a Japanese pornographic film theme.
The ad attracted a girl who was 17 at the time, but claimed to be 19.
Eigtheen men who wanted to play the role of a molester responded to the advertisement.
Three other men and two women stood by and provided condoms and towels in the rental carriage.
The court ruled that Tsai’s behavior harmed public morality and sentenced him to jail for arranging indecent acts for profit.
The other men and women were acquitted as they received no cash reward and were found to have been fee-paying participants.
The 18 men, who each paid a fee of NT$800 (US$26) for the orgy, and the girl were not indicted, although the men had been fined for indecent behavior.
Tsai, who did not have a criminal record, claimed during the investigation that by charging most of the participants he did not intend to make a profit, but simply wanted to make sure that there were sufficient funds for the party.
