CCU spokesperson Kuo Chiung-li (郭瓊麗) said Facebook was not an academic Web site and that the school had no means to censor student postings on the social network, adding that the nude play had nothing to do with freedom of speech.
Kuo said Yuan had left the exam session without permission or notification and had possibly violated examination rules, adding that the university’s Office of Academic Affairs was assessing the matter.
The play also alarmed many students and teachers who are now exhibiting signs of emotional instability, Kuo said, adding that counselors at the university had already started helping those who were affected.
