In other developments, Rai said he agreed with Minister of the Interior Jiang Yi-huah’s (江宜樺) suggestion on holding seven elections on the same day starting in 2014 to save taxpayers’ money.
“We agree with simplifying elections in principle, but it’s not within our power to make the decision. We will always act accordingly when the decision is made,” he said, without elaborating.
