Man arrested for lewd behavior in girls' dormitory

Taichung police yesterday arrested a man on suspicion of lewd behavior in a girls' dormitory at Providence University in Taichung.

A police officer in charge of the case Lin Ying (林應) told reporters yesterday the suspect Ho Ching-lung (何京龍), 29, was a graduate of Providence University preparing to enter graduate school abroad.

Lin said Ho told police he streaked in the girls' dormitory because he failed to control his sexual desire after watching adult films.

Lin's obscene behavior on April 5 terrified students living in the dormitory, said Lin.

Ho sneaked into a girls' dormitory, stripped off all his clothes then walked around the halls of the dormitory completely naked.

When one student opened the door of her room and saw Ho, she backed into her room and locked the door, Lin said.

Ho knocked on the door asking the student to open it then ran to the opposite side of the room, knocking on a window asking to enter.

Lin said Ho then masturbated in front of the window.

When Ho saw the student was making a phone call reporting it to police, he left the dormitory.

But he stole several students' underwear and bras before leaving, said Lin.

Police identified Ho by fingerprints he left around the windows. A security camera also captured his actions.

Ho told police he went to the dormitory of Providence University because he was familiar with the location.

Lin added Ho would be charged with stealing and sexual crimes.
