Lee said that KMT Secretary-General Wu Den-yih ( Hsu died last month at the age of 60 from complications caused by chronic heart disease and diabetes. The by-election will be held on May 12. However, Lee pointed out that the tentative agreement requires that the potential candidate enjoy at least a 3 percent lead over his rivals in poll results before he or she can be backed by the new KMT-PFP alliance.
