Mandarin teachers take part in US language fair

A Taiwanese delegation composed of representatives from Mandarin teaching associations is in the US to take part in a foreign language teaching convention.

The delegation is made up of representatives of the Association of Teaching Mandarin as a Second Language (ATCAASL) and of several local universities' Chinese teaching centers.

The delegation's main purpose is to promote Taiwan's achievements in Mandarin Chinese teaching and boost bilateral academic cooperation, an ATCAASL spokesman said.

The delegation will set up a booth at the conference venue to be held today through Sunday in Nashville, Tennessee.
