Taiwan Quick Take: New MOTC appointments

Minister of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) Tsai Duei (蔡堆) announced the appointment of four new director generals for the bureau within the ministry yesterday. Chen Feng-nan (陳峰男), deputy director general of the Taiwan Railway Administration, was promoted to the administration's director general. Hsu Wen-shen (許文聖), director general of the tourism bureau, was replaced by Lai Se-jen (賴瑟珍), the bureau's deputy director general. Yang Hsi-an (楊錫安), director general of the Taiwan Area National Expressway Bureau, became a technical advisor within the ministry. His position will be filled by the director general of Department of Highways and Railways Lee Tai-ming (李泰明). Wu Fu-hsiang (吳福祥), director general of the High Speed Rail, will retire in January. The bureau's director general, Pang Chia-hua (龐家驊), will replace Wu. Besides Wu, all the new directors will assume their positions today.
