Taiwan's representative to the US, David Lee (李大維), congratulated the four co-chairs of the US Congressional Taiwan Caucus on Wednesday for their victories in the just-concluded midterm elections. They are Steve Chabot (Republican, Ohio), Dana Rohrabacher (Republican, California) and Bob Wexler (Democrat, Florida), who were re-elected to the House of Representatives, and Sherrod Brown (Democrat, Ohio), who was elected to the Senate. Meanwhile, Lee said it was a favorable development that Democratic Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi will soon become speaker of the House, in light of her long-term friendship with Taiwan.
