Taipei judges yesterday released former vice minister of the interior Yen Wan-chin (顏萬進) on NT$1 million (US$30,300) bail. Yen was detained this July on suspicion of receiving bribes in connection with the construction of a cable car system connecting Taipei's Beitou District and Yangmingshan National Park. In addition to Yen, Taipei judges also released former Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters director Tsai Bei-lu (蔡佰祿) on NT$1 million bail, secretary Tsai Ming-tien (蔡銘添) on NT$200,000 bail and technician Hsu Kuo-jung (許國榮) on NT$100,000 bail.
