Starting next month, the maximum amount of money that can be transferred from a Chunghwa Post Co savings account -- whether over the phone, using the Internet, or via an automated teller machine -- will be capped at NT$500,000 (US$15,227). Currently, the limit is NT$1 million. The company also announced that customers will have to return to the post office where they opened their account when they need to change any personal settings such as passwords and user identification numbers. The measure was taken as part of the company's efforts to prevent fraud. Clients are also encouraged to seek advice by calling the anti-fraud hot line on 165.
