Taiwan Quick Take: EZ Cards celebrated

The circulation of EZ Cards surged to 8 million this month since the integrated-circuit (IC) card for public transportation and parking in Taipei was launched four years ago. The Taipei Smart Card Corp celebrated yesterday by issuing 800 limited-edition memorial cards and "TaipeiPass," a booklet with Taipei's attractions and coupons that comes with the purchase of an Easy Card. The special cards sold out three hours after they went on sale at Taipei Main Station.
