The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) yesterday announced fees for non-immigrant visas has been increased from NT$3,300 to NT$3,400, effective next Monday. An AIT statement said that owing to the changes in the exchange rate between the US dollar and the NT dollar, the institute had decided to adjust the fee in keeping with the US' standard fees for processing non-immigrant visas worldwide. Applicants who paid the old visa processing fee prior to Monday may still use the receipt for NT$3,300 for their application.
