A moderate earthquake struck off the east coast yesterday, the Central Weather Bureau said. No damage or injuries were immediately reported. The 5.2-magnitude quake, at a depth of 72km, was centered 67km southeast of the harbor town of Suao (蘇澳) in Ilan County, and 130km from Taipei, the bureau said.
