Taiwan Quick Take: Rain coming for northeast

STAFF WRITER

According to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB), the northeast part of the country will be lashed with intermittent showers in the coming days due to seasonal northeastern winds. The CWB urged residents in affected areas to take appropriate precautions. Other parts of Taiwan should be sunny or cloudy. A low-pressure system in the southwestern Philippines could increase in strength and turn into a typhoon, according to the CWB, which might adversely effect the weather in Taiwan toward the end of this month.
