The 2006 Tea Arts Festival will be held tomorrow for two weekends until Sept. 17 at the Tea Industry Museum in the Taipei County town of Pinglin (坪林). Township chief Wang Chao-ching (王潮清) invited tea lovers and those interested in history to enjoy a cup of freshly made tea, "tea popsicles" made from cold spring water and other tea products this and next weekend. Tea-making utensils will be on display and demonstrations will be held, he added. Pinglin's Tea Arts Festival is part of the Taipei Tea Culture Expo aimed at promoting tea culture. Pinglin, just outside Taipei, is known for growing and producing baozhong tea.
